Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young will start for a second straight week, with Andy Dalton serving as his backup, head coach Dave Canales announced on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
Dalton, who sprained his right thumb in a car accident in Charlotte last week, was inactive for Sunday’s game in Denver. Although he fully participated in practice on Wednesday, Canales opted for caution regarding Dalton’s recovery, according to WBTV. The decision to start Young did not raise concerns for Canales, who remains optimistic about the former No. 1 overall pick leading the team again.
