Urban League of Central Carolinas to honor Governor Roy Cooper

When it comes to empowering communities and changing lives, the Urban League of Central Carolinas is at the forefront of those efforts. For 46 years, the organization has done exceptional work creating pathways to good careers, being a valuable resource for education; addressing the health concerns of the African American community; and the organization’s social justice work is well documented. ‘COMMUNITY VOICES’ host, Ron Holland talked with the Lee Salter, the organization’s Director of Corporate Partnerships about their work in Charlotte, and the upcoming Whitney M. Young, Jr. Awards Gala in which North Carolina Governor, Roy Cooper and a host of others will be honored.
