Schools are cancelled, flights are delayed, government offices are closed and many businesses are closed as a winter storm dumps more than three inches of snow on Charlotte. The storm pummelled Atlanta and other parts of the southeast on Sunday and is churning it’s way north. See more snow pictures from the Charlotte Observer.
Charlotte is expected to get 5-8 inches of snow with higher amounts in the mountains around 7-10 inches.
The snow is expected to change to sleet or freezing rain late Monday and into Tuesday morning.
