Congratulations to the Season 12 winner of NBC’s The Voice, Chris Blue. The 26 year old worship leader from Knoxville, performed his version of Tamela Mann’s hit song “Take Me To The King” on the show’s semi-finals, and found himself with a No. 1 debut on Billboard‘s Hot Gospel Songs chart

Blue, who leads worship at Cokesbury United Methodist Church walked away with a record deal with Universal Music Group and $100,000 in prizes. During the competition, he received some social media support from Kirk Franklin who wrote “Take Me to The King”.  Franklin saying in his Instagram post, “Family show some love for my sis @aliciakeys @chrisblive is dopeness!
