Texas Governor Signs Sanctuary City Ban…On Facebook

Texas Governor Greg Abbott took to Facebook Live Sunday night, to sign a “sanctuary cities” ban. In an unannounced live online broadcast, Abbott signed Senate Bill 4 into law. The bill has been dubbed the “Show Me Your Papers” law, and actually threatens law-enforcement officials with jail time if they don’t comply with the federal agency crack down on undocumented immigrants. It allows officials to check a person’s immigration status, even during a minor traffic stop.
