President Barack Obama will exit the White House this week with his highest approval rating since 2009. A new CNN/ORC poll indicate that President Obama’s current approval rating is at 60 percent, his highest rate since six months into his first term as president. This places him third among outgoing approval ratings of recent presidents. Bill Clinton’s exited with 66 percent in January 2001 and Ronald Reagan with 64 percent in January 1989. To the surprise of many, the poll found that 65 percent of polled Americans said they believe the Obama presidency was a success, with 54 percent of Democrats considering him among the “greatest presidents.”  Republicans viewed him as a poor president, at the same percentage rate.
