'HIDDEN FIGURES' Star Janelle Monae Hosts Dinner with STEM Leaders in Atlanta

Christmas day is going to be very exciting at the Box Office!  The new movie, “Hidden Figures” will be released on December 25th.  The movie is about three brilliant African-American women at NASA — Katherine Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe) who serve as the brains behind the launch of astronaut John Glenn (Glen Powell) into orbit.  It’s one of the greatest story in history, which highlights the real life accomplishments of Black women in historical moments.

However, the producers and directors are taking it one step further and giving away $200,000 in scholarships. Young ladies in high school and professional women who have a talent in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) who have not been recognized for their work is encouraged to apply for $50,000 scholarships who have an interest in STEM .
