NBA superstars LeBron James (Cleveland Cavaliers) and Steph Curry (Golden State Warriors) both indicated their support of Colin Kaepernick’s decision to kneel in protest during the national anthem. However both shared that they plan to stand during the national anthem before their respective NBA games.

San Francisco 49ers’ backup quarterback Kaepernick said he has received death threats for his protest of racial inequalities and injustices in America.

During the Cavs media day yesterday, James said, “I’m all in favor of anyone athlete or non-athlete being able to express what they believe in in a peaceful manner and that’s exactly what Colin Kaepernick is doing and I respect that.”

Curry, participating in the Warriors media day said, “I respect everybody’s voice, everybody’s platform and their opportunity and right to protest, what they feel in their heart is something they want to change. I’ve said that plenty of times about Colin and I respect what he is doing. I hope all the spotlight is on his message.”
