Former President George H.W. Bush said he plans to vote for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in the upcoming presidential election. Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend, the daughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy, posted a picture on Facebook late Monday with the former Republican president, along with the caption: “The president told me he’s voting for Hillary!” A spokesman for Bush did not confirm or deny saying that the vote he will cast in 50 days will be a private one and that “He is not commenting on the presidential race in the interim.” Bush has kept far from the presidential campaign, and was notably absent from the Republican National Convention.
