Snoop Sings the Gospel!

In a sweet video, posted to his Instagram page, hip hop royalty Snoop Dogg showcases some of crown jewels while singing Kirk Franklin’s classic “Silver and Gold”. Singing the chorus a few times, Snoop proclaims “I’d rather have Jesus than silver and gold.” Ironic that of all of the uber contemporary tunes in Kirk’s extensive and awesome catalog, that it is one of his early “churchy” recordings – not necessarily written to “reach the streets” that Snoop is found singing. Testament to the fact that good is just good and God is just God!
