This week’s episode was in tribute to the Queen City’s own Pastor John P. Kee.
Having not only inspired many, but given countless artists and musician’s a start in the industry, the tribute was certainly in order.
With a musical legacy that spans three decades, it might have been difficult to pick JUST ONE JPK hit. But each contestant worked it out with Dathan Thigpen singing ‘Jesus Is Real’, Brightnie Jones taking on ‘Comfort Me’ and Martha Buries ‘Wash Me’. Terrill Hill smashed ‘My Mind Is Made Up’, Tiquila Wilson chose ‘The Anointing’ , Clifton Ross took on ‘He Welcomed Me’ and Zebulon Ellis picked ‘Standing In The Need Of Prayer’. Ultimately, Martha Buries came up short this week and was was sent home.
