Think about the times that you received a simple “thank you!” Perhaps you went out of your way to help someone, gave a gift; or any number of things for which you received a heartfelt “thank you.” You didn’t do what you did for the purpose of the “thank you” or even for any recognition at all, but the kindness of a “thank you” is appreciated.

Then there are those experiences when you have given all that you can, and never receive a thank you. As a matter of fact, there are those folks that don’t mind taking advantage of others kindness with a position of entitlement and “thank you” never crosses their mind.

There is nothing that we could ever do for another, or receive from another that could be any greater than what the Lord has done for us. Thank you Lord!

Where would any of us be had it not been for the Lord providing us with His gentle kindness, even when we don’t deserve it? No matter how rough life gets, if we look back and realize what we have already made it through, there is no other feeling except one of gratefulness and thanksgiving.

I love the lyrics of Beverly Crawford’s 2008 Stellar Award winning song, “He’s Done Enough.”

If the Lord never does anything else for me

He’s done enough

He’s blessed me once

and He blessed me twice

The Lord keeps on blessing me every day of my life

Psalm 150:1-6, instructs us well on this topic, “Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals!”

When I look back over my life, I will never be able to say “thank you” enough times for ALL the goodness I have been blessed to receive. What about you?
