As BET preps for the new year, Bishop T.D. Jakes, of Dallas-based mega church The Potter’s House, has been tapped for the network’s new faith-based initiatives beyond Sunday mornings.
According to Variety magazine and the ChristianPost.com, Bishop Jakes recently shot a pilot for a talk show 2013.
Charlie Jordin Brookins, Senior VP of original programming spoke with Variety saying BET is “trying to bring spiritual themes into the fabric of its programming in general” by adding weekday programs without being “overtly preachy.”
There’s still no official word on when the show may make its debut, but be sure to stay tuned for updates.
