Despite severe thunderstorms threatening Charlotte, the Presbyterian Hospital July 4th Spectacular went off as planned on Monday. In the early hours of the celebration, organizers Memorial Stadium and hustled everyone inside of the Grady Cole Center. Mascots including Rufus, Chubby and others entertained the crowd. The fireworks went off as planned at 9:30 p.m.
