Bonterra Village May Lose Its Horses After HOA Ends Stable Lease
Horses splashing in water or rolling in dirt have long been a familiar sight in Bonterra Village. But that could soon change.
More than 800 residents of the Indian Trail equestrian community were recently notified that the homeowners association will not renew its lease with Bonterra Stables owner Fonda Maddalone. A resident herself, Maddalone purchased the stables eight years ago to help preserve the 20-year-old property, according to WCCB.
Without a lease extension, the future of horses in Bonterra Village remains uncertain.
