North Carolinians Observe Palm Sunday
Churches across North Carolina marked Palm Sunday with services and celebrations as Christians commemorated the start of Holy Week.
From Charlotte to Wilmington, congregations gathered to remember Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, often waving palm branches during processions and worship. Many churches held outdoor services, taking advantage of the spring weather.
Palm Sunday falls one week before Easter, the most sacred day in the Christian calendar.
