Gov. Josh Stein declared a state of emergency for North Carolina on Tuesday ahead of Wednesday’s expected winter weather. The declaration, made at 11:15 a.m. on February 18, comes as snow showers and a mix of wintry weather are forecasted across the state. The mountains could see 2-3 inches of snow, while the Charlotte area may get 1-2 inches, with rain expected in the southern parts of the state. According to WBTV, temperatures will remain in the 30s throughout the day, dropping into the 20s overnight as colder air moves in.
