There are a bevy of challenges faced by young black men, especially black boys. The statistics are plentiful: The most incarcerated. The most likely to be suspended in school. The most likely to live in poverty. Despite the many challenges, here are a host of organizations that are doing valiant work to save our boys. ‘COMMUNITY VOICES’ host, Ron Holland, delved into the issue with with campaign strategist and political consultant, Colette Forrest, President of ‘People’s Voice Management Group, Inc.’ Forrest addressed the myriad of issues that are part of her upcoming, ‘The State of our Black Boys’ forum that will feature a cross-section of African American professionals.
