Sen. John McCain Diagnosed With Brain Cancer

Senator John McCain has been diagnosed with a brain tumor, just a week after undergoing a procedure to remove a blood clot above his left eye. The 80 yr old Republican from Arizona is reviewing further treatment options with his Mayo Clinic care team. McCain’s office released a statement from the Mayo Clinic indicating that the ’tissue pathology revealed that a primary brain tumor known as a glioblastoma was associated with the blood clot.” Treatment options typically include a combination of chemotherapy and radiation.
