Jekalyn Carr, continues her blazing run with an exciting beginning to 2017! She recently wrapped her debut film role, in the forthcoming drama I Never Heard My Father Speak, is gearing up for her debut appearance at the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration in Houston. The Super Bowl Gospel Celebration is an event officially sanctioned by the NFL, and one of the most highly anticipated events surrounding the the big game weekend. Carr will join CeCe Winans, Natalie Grant and  Anthony Hamilton at this year’s celebration. 

Carr is also excited about the 59th Annual Grammy Awards, taking place live on February 12th, where she is a first-time nominee for Best Gospel Performance/Song for“You’re Bigger. Carr, a 19 year-old independent artist, born and raised in rural Memphis, TN, is nominated alongside some of the most noteworthy names in Gospel Music including Kirk Franklin and Shirley Caesar. She states, “I thank God for the tremendous favor he has shown me, and for my father and the rest of my family who recognized and cultivated my calling and gift early in my life. This is truly a dream come true and I plan to take in every moment of the experience!”
