Record breaking rainfall fell in South Carolina this weekend, causing at least seven deaths. SC Governor Nikki Haley remarked, “We haven’t seen this level of rain in the Low Country in 1,000 years.” The storm left more than 20 inches of rain in some areas of central South Carolina, and forecasts indicate that an additional two to six inches could come today. More than 250 roads across the state remained closed, including 75 miles along I-95.
