President Obama dabbed away tears as he spoke of the innocent lives lost and the traumatized families left behind following today’s tragic shooting spree in Newtown, CT.
“We’ve endured too many of these tragedies,” said President Obama, speaking as both a president and a father.
“Our hearts are broken today for the parents and grandparents, sisters and brothers of these little children and for the families of the adults who are lost,” President Obama said during his briefing. “Our hearts are broken for the parents of the survivors as well. They’re childrens’ innocence has been torn away from them too early.”
