My Block/Columbia Records recording artists Mary Mary have partnered with Pillsbury Egg Scrambles and Grands Biscuit Sandwiches to launch the “Do Something Big” initiative. This program is a nationwide challenge to churches to “Do Something Big” for their communities. The competition, which ends on November 18, looks for churches to pick a meaningful need within their community, dream up a winning solution and mobilize their ministry into positive action.
Grammy-award winning duo Mary Mary will accept pastor-endorsed video submissions describing how participating churches helped to better their community. The group will select their top three finalists based on creativity, inspiration and impact on the community. Finalists’ videos will then enter a public voting round. The winning church will be announced on December 6 and will receive a one-hour Mary Mary concert complete with a live band and breakfast provided by Pillsbury’s new frozen breakfast line. The contest will be housed an all entries can be submitted to the group’s fan site.
