Rescue Gear Stolen from North Carolina Beach

Authorities say vital rescue equipment was stolen from Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina last week. According to WBTV, two yellow rescue buoys went missing on July 24 from the Greensboro Street and Mason’s Inlet public access points. The group posted on social media that the buoys are essential for water rescues and their disappearance poses a serious danger to beachgoers. Officials emphasized the equipment’s role in saving lives and urged anyone who finds the missing buoys to return them to the Wrightsville Beach Fire Department. Their absence, they warned, puts the public at increased risk.
