$8 Million Scratch-Off Win for Charlotte Woman
A Charlotte woman recently struck it rich with a winning scratch-off ticket worth $8 million.
Latonya Rayford purchased the lucky “$8 Million Money Maker” ticket at the BP Food Mart located on West Sugar Creek Road.
She traveled to Raleigh to claim her prize and decided to receive the full $8 million as annual payments of $400,000 for the next 20 years, according to WBTV. She had the alternative option of taking a lump sum of $4.8 million but chose the long-term payout instead.
The “$8 Million Money Maker” game launched in December, offering five top prizes of $8 million and ten prizes of $100,000.
