North Carolina DMV offices are now accepting walk-in customers throughout the day, a shift from the previous policy that required walk-ins to wait until noon.

According to WCCB, the Department of Motor Vehicles says the change is designed to keep people cooler during the summer heat and improve the overall customer experience. By allowing walk-ins during all operating hours, officials hope to reduce wait times, streamline check-ins, and enhance comfort at driver license offices across the state.
