An American Airlines flight headed to Charlotte had to return to Las Vegas shortly after takeoff Wednesday morning due to reported engine trouble. According WCNC, Flight 1665 departed Harry Reid International Airport when the crew detected an issue with one of the engines and chose to turn back. After landing safely, the aircraft was met by emergency crews who inspected the engine. American Airlines said the pilot was able to taxi the plane back to the gate without assistance. No injuries were reported, and the incident remains under review.
