Ardrey Kell High School Principal Placed on Paid Suspension
Jamie Brooks, principal of Ardrey Kell High School, has been suspended with pay, according to public records recently obtained. According to WCNC, the documents show Brooks was placed on suspension on May 2, though the reason has not been disclosed. Officials have also not said when she may return to her role.
Brooks has been with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools since 1994. She previously served as principal of Community House Middle School and held assistant principal roles at Ardrey Kell and Mint Hill Middle. Her career in the district began as a teacher at Carmel Middle School.
