Storms Possible Midweek
Temperatures will reach the low to mid-80s early this week, with only a slight chance of storms in the mountains. By midweek, high pressure shifts offshore, bringing more heat, humidity and isolated afternoon storms, mainly north of I-85. Highs climb into the mid to upper 80s through Thursday, with lows in the mid-60s. Storm chances increase Friday and Saturday as a cold front approaches. According to WCCB, a few strong storms are possible, but the overall severe threat remains low, with damaging wind gusts the main concern. Cooler, drier air moves in Sunday, dropping highs to the mid-70s and lows to the 50s.
