Duke’s Cooper Flagg Enters NBA Draft as Projected No. 1 Pick

Duke freshman star Cooper Flagg is entering the NBA Draft and is widely projected as the No. 1 overall pick. The program announced his decision Monday on social media, following a standout season in which Flagg became just the fourth freshman to win The Associated Press national player of the year. The 6-foot-9 forward from Newport, Maine, averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 1.4 steals, per WBTV. Flagg, who reclassified to join Duke a year early, helped lead the Blue Devils to the Final Four. He joins Kon Knueppel and Tyrese Proctor in declaring early for the draft.
