International Mountain Day Celebrated Globally

People around the world observed International Mountain Day on December 11, highlighting the vital role mountains play in ecosystems and communities. This year’s theme focused on sustainable mountain tourism and the preservation of natural landscapes. Organizations, environmentalists, and mountain communities marked the day with events, discussions, and educational campaigns aimed at raising awareness of the challenges faced by mountain regions, including climate change, deforestation, and poverty.
