The number of young adults diagnosed with colon cancer is rising worldwide, according to WCCB. In the U.S., health officials have been tracking an increase in early-onset cases, but new research from the American Cancer Society reveals that this trend is not limited to America.
The study, which focused on highly developed countries, found a rise in cases in more than half of the nations examined. However, the cause of the increase remains unclear.
Additionally, a study by the National Cancer Institute identified four common signs in people who later develop colon cancer: diarrhea, rectal bleeding, abdominal pain, and iron-deficiency anemia.
