Charlotte Fire Department responded to a structure fire early Saturday morning at a McDonald’s on J.M. Keynes Drive. According to WBTV, firefighters were dispatched to the restaurant in the 8900 block after smoke was seen rising from the building. Upon arrival, 30 firefighters quickly contained the fire within nine minutes. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among either civilians or responders.

The Charlotte Fire Department later determined the cause of the fire to be accidental. Officials said the blaze began in the HVAC unit and spread through the ductwork.
