Home prices in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, are now on par with those in Austin, Texas, one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S.

According to WSOC, a new study from LendingTree found that many smaller towns across the country, including Kill Devil Hills, have home prices rivaling those in larger cities. The research analyzed communities with populations under 50,000 using U.S. Census data. Kill Devil Hills ranks 13th on the list of most expensive small towns, with a median home value of $386,600.
