Daylight Saving Time is coming to an end in North Carolina, granting residents an extra hour of sleep. Most of the U.S. observes this shift, starting on the second Sunday in March and returning to standard time on the first Sunday in November. This year, the change occurs on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 2 a.m. At that moment, the time will go back an hour.
Daylight Saving Time is designed to conserve energy and make better use of daylight during the spring and summer months.
