North Carolina Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson sustained burns on Friday night while campaigning for governor at the Mayberry Truck Show in Mount Airy, his campaign announced. According to campaign spokesperson Mike Lonergan, Robinson was injured during the event and subsequently received treatment for second-degree burns at Northern Regional Hospital, per WBTV.

Details regarding how the injuries occurred were not immediately available, as Lonergan did not respond to requests for clarification. Despite his injuries, social media posts from Saturday showcased Robinson attending various community events, where he was seen with a bandaged left hand.
