State of Emergency Declared in N.C.

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper declared a State of Emergency for all counties on Wednesday, November 25, in anticipation of Hurricane Helene’s expected landfall.
According to WBTV, forecasts indicate that Helene will hit Florida on Thursday as a major hurricane (Category 3 or higher). North Carolina is bracing for significant winds, heavy rainfall, and potential tornadoes and landslides. Thursday and Friday are expected to bring the worst conditions, with impacts possibly lingering into Saturday as rivers begin to crest.
