Kirk Franklin has launched a recording studio in old downtown Arlington, TX. Near the University of Texas at Arlington campus, the studio is named Jessie’s Kitchen in honor of Kirk’s long-time friend and personal assistant, Jessie Hurst.
The 9,000 sq.ft. building houses a mix/tracking control room with a studio and two booths, a production control room and a shared central equipment room. The second floor has offices for studio staff and Kirk’s record label, Fo Yo Soul Entertainment.
The studio also uniquely features acoustic architecture technology that will allow changing the sound read of the room. Gospel’s Tasha Page-Lockhart and Marvin Sapp have already put in work at the new facility. Take a tour with Kirk below:
