Amid public outcry against recent price hikes for the life-saving auto-injected EpiPen, Mylan has announced that it will launch a generic version. The new generic will cost $300 for a two-pack – about half the regular version’s latest market price. CEO Heather Bresch says it will be available within the next few weeks, calling Mylan’s actions “an extraordinary commercial response” to consumer demand. The company was widely criticized following their latest price increase, raising consumer cost by over 400 percent.
