Micah Xavier Johnson was identified last week as the shooter in the ambush that killed five Dallas law enforcement officials and injured 7 more. In an interview with The Blaze, Johnson’s parents noted a change in behavior after being discharged from the U.S. Army in 2015. Johnson’s parents and stepmother interviewed with The Blaze’s Lawrence Jones at the mother’s Mesquite, Texas. Investigators found rifles, ammunition, bomb-making materials and further evidence of Johnson’s plot to destroy. The full interview with the family is slated for release later this week.
The gunman’s mother, Delphine Johnson, said her son transform went from being a fun-loving extrovert to a hermit following his military bidof six years, including a seven-month deployment to Afghanistan.
