The harrowing stories of Domestic violence is legion. Despite intervention, education, arrests and conventions, concerted efforts to reduce the number of victims of domestic violence appears discouraging. That’s why Playwright and Director, Vicki L. Evans continues her fight against this particular scourge impacting women worldwide. Evans recently reprised her award-winning stage play, ‘A Change is Gonna Come.’ The play tackles domestic violence from a controversial perspective – abuse in the church. Evans and her cast are headed to Washington, DC in a few weeks for a gathering of stage productions at the Thearc Theater. ‘COMMUNITY VOICES’ host Ron Holland talked with Vicki L. Evans and cast member, recording artist, Cassandra O’Neil about the reprisal of her stage play and trip to Washington, D.C.
