As Super Tuesday came to a close, Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton had taken the lion’s share of the votes, winning Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Massachusetts, and Texas. Sen. Bernie Sanders won his home state of Vermont, Oklahoma, Minnesota and Colorado. Clinton held sizeable leads in the Southern states that she won. Sanders served up a surprise in Colorado where his win didn’t match up with recent polls which had Clinton leading in the Centennial State.
GOP frontrunner Donald Trump won the Georgia, Alabama, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Virginia, Arkansas, and Vermont Republican primaries. In Vermont, John Kasich came within several thousand votes of beating Trump, but to no avail. Ted Cruz won Texas.
