North Carolina Central University officials say an argument led to a shooting on campus last night, that sent one student to a hospital.
A lockdown was issued at the school just before 11 p.m. The lockdown was lifted about 50 minutes later.
University spokeswoman Ayana Hernandez Hernandez said in a statement this morning that there was not an active shooter situation on the campus but that the shooting was resultant of an argument.
A 19-year-old sophomore whose name has not been released, was treated and released from a hospital this morning. No arrests have been made.
