Former President Jimmy Carter announced today that he has four “very small” cancer spots on his brain. He announced his diagnosis at Emory University Hospital at a press conference earlier today and indicated that he will recieve radiation treatment as soon as this afternoon. Carter, 90, announced earlier this week that cancer was found on his liver and that doctors have removed about 10 percent of the organ.
Despite the challenge, Carter will continue to undergo treatment and remains upbeat saying, “I’ve had a wonderful life,” he said. “I’ve had thousands of friends.”
