Millions of undocumented immigrants in the United States will not face deportation thanks to President Obama’s Executive Action. Despite feigned outrage by Congressional Republicans, President Obama does have the authority by use of ‘Prosecutorial Discretion’ to halt deportation.
The President’s Executive Action effectively allows upward of 5 million undocumented immigrants to apply for work permits, require background checks and pay a $500 fine.
