Walmart continues it’s takeover in all things middle America. The retail giant now wants to be your bank! Walmart, teaming up with Green Dot/Go Bank, announced plans to start offering low-cost checking accounts to pretty much anyone over the age of 18 who can pass an ID check. Accounts will cost $8.95 if your monthly direct deposit totals less than $500 and there are no charges of overdraft fees or for bounced checks, unlike many national banks. Accounts will be available nationwide by the end of October.
