President Obama continues to build a coalition of nations to help degrade the threat of the terror group, Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL). In his address to the nation this week, President Obama also used much stronger language to denounce the group’s murderous rampage in Iraq, saying the black-masked terrorists must be destroyed. ISIL already controls several swaths of land in Iraq, including: Mosul, Eribil, Kirkuk Sinjar and Abu Kamal. As the United States grapples with the potential of another war, the American people are asking if our security and interests abroad are worth the risks – especially if a reluctant Congress fails to back President Obama. ‘COMMUNITY VOICES’ host, Ron Holland, delves into the danger ISIL poses to the United States and whether the limited campaign the President outlined in his speech is enough to avoid sending thousands of American soldiers back into another theater of war. Ron also addresses the Domestic Violence scandal swirling around the NFL and Baltimore Raven’s football player, Ray Rice with colleague, Olympia D of Old School 105.3 FM, Charlotte.
