Area congregations look beyond their walls, see needs of the world and travel to help meet them!

Lives will be transformed and souls uplifted this summer as Charlotte churchgoers fan out across the country and the world on mission trips.

Name just about any place on the globe and chances are some Charlotte church members are there now, just got back or will be headed there.

Guyana: Friendship Missionary Baptist sent a medical mission team – including three doctors and dental hygienist – to this South American country.

Cambodia: A young couple from Providence United Methodist will minister to women who were sold into the sex trade.

Kenya: A team from Calvary Church will bring shoes to children on Rengiti Island.

Hungary: Young people and their parents from Myers Park Presbyterian will help improve a home for disabled children.

USA: 33 children and adults from Park Road Baptist – including the Rev. Russ Dean – spent last week in Forest City, doing rehab work on houses, volunteering in a soup kitchen, tilling a community garden.
