A pastor is accused of hiring his own son to kill his wife. Houston police say the man was tangled up in a love triangle involving his mistress and his son.

While being escorted into the police station in Houston, Texas, Pastor Tracy Burleson is asked “Who killed your wife,” and he replies, “I don’t know.” When his son, William Fuller is asked if he had anything to do with the death of Pauletta Burleson, he didn’t say anything. Neither did Tyonne Palmer.

All three, investigators say, make up a love triangle. The father and son were both romantically involved with Palmer.

It’s a relationship that in an exclusive jailhouse interview the pastor did not deny. “I want them to know that I love being the pastor at the church and I am so sorry for the adultery. But I want them to know I did not kill my wife.”

In mid-May, Pauletta Burleson was found shot to death in the driveway of the home she hared with her husband in northeast Harris County.

In court, prosecutors said William Fuller told investigators his father hired him to kill his stepmother Pauletta.

The pastor tells a different story. He says, “I didn’t hire him. I didn’t know about it. I still don’t know who shot Pauletta.” He goes on to say, “I would never tell my son to do anything like that, anything like that. I don’t want to believe that my son killed her,” said the pastor.

Tracy Burleson who was in court admits that he and his wife were having problems, but, he said, “Me and my wife, things were not good with us. But we weren’t going to get a divorce. Handcuffed and behind bars he wanted to make it clear, ‘no I did not kill my wife.”

Palmer is accused of helping the son get rid of the gun after the murder. The wife’s murder came just a week after Pastor Burleson’s historic church burned down. The cause is still under investigation.
