19 year old Sloane Stephens won an upset victory against Serena Williams in the quarterfinals at the Australian open today. Williams won the first set 6–3, but Stephens ultimately won with a 6–4 victory. Williams reportedly suffered a back injury,and succumbed to frustration eventually taking it out on her racket, which she broke during the second set.
Stephens, just two months away from her 20th birthday seemed as stunned to beat the 31 year old Williams.
